Our music lesson students will have the opportunity to take lessons from the comfort of their own home or in one of the teachers studios. Careful attention is placed on each student to ensure a custom lesson plan. Instead of berating my students to practice, my students practice because they want to practice. My students often tell me what they have been working on from their own reading and listening without being asked, and give me suggestions on what they want to learn in their lessons. I have developed a semi-structured method for beginning students, taking material from different books and then combining them. For advanced students, I trust they know more about what and how they want to learn than I, and can certainly help them work out their kinks! Regardless, I feel it's vital that students are exposed to a variety of different musical styles.
