I started teaching guitar lessons in the Spring of 1982 while in my first year of college. Since then I've evolved from teaching at various independent music shops to teaching music lessons at my home studio. At the very beginning level I would start with fundamentals from whatever book I feel would be best for the student depending on their age and knowledge. It is of paramount importance to me that I impart my experiential and theoretical knowledge of all things music unto the student in a personally tailored fashion which emphasizes the knowledge necessary for each individual student to identify and achieve their musical goals. I have the ability to identify the students interests and base my curriculum around their needs and desires as a musical being. I believe that knowledge not applied or bestowed unto another is wasted and that the most important thing about bettering yourself in any regard is to be able to pass that knowledge on to others so that they may add to the whole of the collective of, in this case, musical expression.
