am a firm believer in adapting my teaching methods in order fit with each individual student. I think that all students have a genre or playing style that inspires them most, and I strive to find that style and to teach through it. I allow technical exercises and theory to come out of a specific style or genre, because I feel that this is the best way to keep students engaged and interested in the material. In short, I teach to the student and never force anyone to learn material or genres that do not inspire them musically. its a process of learning for me as well. i sit down with every student and create a custom lesson plan after the first lesson. everyone is different and i can cater to everyones needs! every musician learns in a different way. for children i tend to use more book oriented lesson and try to keep it very structered to cater to their eveyr growing minds.
