My method is simple. During our first lesson, we dive into any and everything that is important to you regarding music. Once we have a solid foundation of influences / skill level / goals, we can begin outlining a lesson plan together for the duration of your music lessons with me. Our lessons will be conversational - our ideas will bounce off of each other. I will never tell you what to do - I will only tell you what methods will and wont work. I provide individualized instruction with a theoretical focus. I want students to understand the music that they play. I view music as a language and believe in the importance of being able to manipulate it to convey a message to the listener. I allow students to choose the songs they learn and couple them with technical exercises to improve dexterity and familiarity with the instrument.
