For all students, I begin with fundamental and foundational elements of singing such as breathing, musical terms, elements of music, etc. I use The Singing Book which includes instructional learning and solo repertoire, and can be used for any level singer. More specifically, I create my own lesson plan according to the student. Linda studied dance, voice, music and acting with notable teachers including, for acting, William Hickey at HB Studio in NYC, and voice, Typhanie Monique & Carol Loverde in Chicago. She received her BA from Columbia College Chicago. With a background in theory, classical, and 20th-century music, Linda has enjoyed roles in musical theater, studio session work, as well as collaborations on original works with artists including, new music composer Christopher Preissing, playwright / composer Tom Weber, many jazz artists, composer-poet Everette Howe, and others. I'm an enthusiastic and motivated teacher who adores sharing my love and passion for music with others. This coming May, I will be graduating from the University of Illinois with my Bachelor of Music Education degree. Currently, I am student teaching and my experiences have been priceless, as I teach students from Kindergarten through 12th grade. It is a pleasure to be able to work with so many students.
