Our music lesson students will have the opportunity to take lessons from the comfort of their own home or in one of the teachers studios. Careful attention is placed on each student to ensure a custom lesson plan. I am a driven and dedicated voice teacher who enjoys learning the voices of different singers. I received my Bachelor of Arts degree in Music from Claflin University in 2017 and I recently finished my Master of Music in Vocal Performance degree from Southern Illinois University. I began teaching privately in Beaumont, Tx while pursuing my undergraduate at Lamar University from 2009 to 2015. I ended up working adjunct in my Masters degree at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas from 2015 to 2018. While working for UNLV I also acquired a job teaching for Tailor Robinson Music Company. During my nine years of teaching, I have taught a multitude of ages, experience levels and different genres. I focus on getting the students to understand that there is a method to the voice like any other sport or trade, its the motivation that determines whether you have the patience and focus to achieve your goal. I have more than 6 years experience in vocal teaching, 3 of which I was working with 7-16 years old children in music school, following program and preparing students for performances. Then for 3 years I was teaching in my own home studio, it helps me to increase quantity the vocal skills for children, because of ability to record voice and arrangements. Mastering technique is the surest way to leave the student free to express themselves musically. After an initial assessment is made of the student's voice, I create a series of vocal exercises to address any vocal weaknesses/problems. The first 20 minutes of a typical lesson are spent warming up/performing technical exercises. The remainder of the lesson focuses on applying what was learned technically to the music that the student and teacher have chosen. Read More

I continued teaching private lessons, while also conducting a high school youth choir in Chicagoland after moving to IL. After a few years my family and I moved to the greater Cincinnati area where I currently teach as a high school choral and drama teacher while serving as the theatre manager as well.
