Careful attention is placed on each student to ensure a custom lesson plan. I began teaching lessons part time five years ago when I was an undergraduate. I have worked with all ages, from young students to teenagers to adult learners. I also have experience coaching small ensembles at summer string camps. I love to give my students opportunities to play music together and for each other. Everything depends on what instrument the student is learning. For violin, viola, and cello lessons I typically use a few different method books and handout sheets for the first few lessons, and then switch to using Suzuki books once the basic concepts have been mastered. For ukulele students I try to find out what the student is interested and tailor their lessons to include the types of songs they want to learn to play. Read More
