Our music lesson students will have the opportunity to take lessons from the comfort of their own home or in one of the teachers studios. Careful attention is placed on each student to ensure a custom lesson plan. Our music teachers understand that every student has different needs and abilities and therefore the lessons will be planned with that knowledge in mind.
lessons are available in the following areas:
Instruments: Violin, Viola
I started teaching lessons at the age of 17, but I didn't realize that this is what I wanted to do as a career until I was in college. I have since realized that I absolutely love teaching lessons to anyone willing to learn. I request that my students keep a notebook for their lessons so that I can give them little goals to achieve during the week. I feel that this helps keep them motivated during our time apart.
Instruments: Violin, Viola
Teaching Methods: For beginning students, I start with Gerald E. Anderson and Robert S. Frost's All for Strings. Once the students made progression in basic fundamentals, I use the Suzuki Methods Books and Solo for Young Violinists by Barbara Barber. Along with that, I introduce the students to the chamber music so that the students learn to play with others. For adults, I try to provide the students in their interested music so that, playing music is fun and entertaining to them.
Teaching Styles: I feel very good when I see that my students are enjoying and making progress in their playing~! Therefore, I help my students find their goals to help them see their accomplishments and achievements as well.
Instruments: Violin, Cello, Viola
For beginners I like to start with the Suzuki Method. But I'm also familiar with other couple methods such as Essential Elements and Essential Techniques for strings book 1-3. In addition to follow a method book, I like to supplement some small pieces from other books as well as incorporate some of the pieces that the student want to learn. Once the student is in the intermediate to advanced level of playing, I like to use the String Basics Book, Carl Flesh Scale Book, Kayser's ,Schradieck, Dont, Kreutzer's 42 Studies, among others a long with some solo repertoire.
Instruments: Piano, Guitar, Voice, Violin, Cello, Viola, Trumpet, Trombone, Saxophone, Flute, Clarinet, Drums, Bass Guitar, Recorder, Euphonium, French Horn, Tuba, Mallet Percussion, Bassoon, Keyboard, Acoustic Guitar
Teaching Methods: Piano: Younger Students Suzuki & Faber Older Students: Hannon, Masterworks Classic, Alfred Adult Method and Hal Leonard Strings: Strickly Strings and Essential Elements Band Instruments: Essential Elements and Essential Musicianship Voice: 24 Italian Art Songs, Broadway Singers, Vacci, Adler and Prima Donna Album Guitar: Super Guitar Book, Praise Guitar Charts & Hal Leonard Essential Guitar
Teaching Styles: I use a Practice based incentive program to develop healthy musical habits. I listen to the goals each student wants to achieve and set up steps to accomplish the goal. While in a lesson I establish basic musicianship, while developing and shaping a performers self image. Warm encouragement and helpful criticism are used to create a safe testing ground to forge and hone new skills.
