Our music lesson students will have the opportunity to take lessons from the comfort of their own home or in one of the teachers studios. Careful attention is placed on each student to ensure a custom lesson plan. Our music teachers understand that every student has different needs and abilities and therefore the lessons will be planned with that knowledge in mind.

Teaching Methods: To start my students off I advise they get the Essential Elements beginners book. This book consists of multiple scales and practice tunes and procedures. Along with teaching them the book this is the start of beginning to learn to read music and basics of reading in 4/4. They will also learn basic scales and tunes in their instruments key. As they advance they will get the intermediate book. Alongside the intermediate book they will begin learn more difficult scales, how to read in different times, how to compose music, and also how to read in other keys.
Teaching Styles: I have a very detailed teaching style. I try to teach my students not to understand but to over stand. I make sure most importantly to start where to the student is most comfortable. Teaching a student something their interested in learning helps to motivate them. As an incentive for their hard work my students receive a piece of sheet music that they personally pick out upon completion of homework and requirements for the current lesson they have learned. It's important to never push the student or make them feel overwhelmed. I often put myself in their places to get a better understanding of their needs.

Learning to perform and understand music is a difficult journey, but one which also reaps great rewards. Performing great music with a skilled ensemble for an appreciative audience is, in my opinion, one of the great joys of life. Unfortunately, beginners are easily frustrated by their lack of facility on their instrument. I believe the teacher must guide the student toward positive practice habits including daily listening and performing, give the student unwavering support and encouragement, provide a judgment-free learning environment while also providing constructive feedback, and most importantly, be a musical role model.

Select all the days/times the student would be available to start lessons. Selecting "3pm - 7pm" means the student can start as early as 3pm or start as late as 7pm. It is important that you select as many days and the widest window of start times for each day as possible. That will help us make a match with one of our teachers.Ok
