I am a passionate music teacher who loves the one on one instruction I can provide to students. I taught elementary music in a small town in western Kansas for two years, and had private students in piano, voice, flute, and trumpet. I have held four master classes for five different high schools in the past. I have been judging piano and voice for 2 years now and enjoy every moment of getting the work with people. I have also choreographed show choirs for the last three years of my professional life. I look forward to working with anyone and everyone. For complete beginners I use the usual method books used in the public schools.  As I get to know the student I tailor the lessons to their skill level and personality to teach the fundamentals.  More intermediate students I look at what they do well and areas they need to work on such as embouchure or breathing technique.  I teach theary and make sure the student learns how to read music.  More advanced students I will teach repertoire and advanced books such as Arban's Mehod book.  I will always make sure the fundamentals are taught regardless of the skill level.
