I'm a passionate and motivated instructor who loves working with students and sharing my love of music. I graduated high school in 2004 and went on with a full scholarship at Blinn Junior College in Brenham, TX. I played first trumpet part all throughout middle and high school and even in college. Also in college I participated in the Jazz band there throughout my 2 years. At that point, I introduce the chord method as well as the number system- having them play certain progressions as I prompt them to play. I love teaching students privately one on one. My youngest student was 4; a Piano student. She was from a Russian family and didn’t speak a word of English. Teaching her was a joint effort between myself and the girl’s mother who did speak English; a very interesting experience. My oldest student was 86; a Guitar student. He had studied previously with another instructor and loved to play. While attending the University of Hawaii, he had the pleasure of working with Dr. Barbara McLain and completing his research study in Music Education.
