As a Vocalist, my recent engagements include La Boheme with Projekt Opera, Concert engagements with Indianapolis Opera, a European tour with the Blue Lake International Choir and Orchestra, Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp staff, A Little Night Music with the Chickasaw Civic Theatre, Rigoletto with the Pensacola Opera, Gianni Schicchi, The Old Maid and the Thief, and Werther with BSU Opera Theatre, to name a few. I tailor my teaching to the interest and styles of my students. I put emphasis on teaching all related facets of music as well as focusing on technique. Since moving to Ann Arbor 15 years ago, all of my students have reached the top band in their high schools and most were first chair/section leader by their senior year. I started teaching private lessons during my undergraduate degree at Northern Michigan University. I partnered up with the local middle and high school to teach one on one lessons as well as group sectionals. For the year and a half that I taught this groups of trombonists I learned a lot about how to cater my teachings to each individual student, as not everyone learns in the same ways. Hello! I am a Junior jazz trombone and music education student at the University of Michigan. I come from a musical family, both of my parents are musicians. Teaching is one of the most fulfilling things for me, especially with the thing I love most, music!
