I have had experience teaching lessons ever since I was in college. I have developed into a highly effective teacher, motivator, and musician throughout the years and feel confident that my students will succeed when they take lessons with me. Practice has helped me to reach the level I am at, and that is one of the main things I will stress. Yes, the musical aspects of the lesson are important, and they are addressed at every lesson, but to refine and perfect those musical aspects students must practice. Read More

I started teaching guitar at about 16, and have always maintained a studio of at least a couple students. I also offered assistance in the local band classes in order to improve my chops on my alternate instruments. I've played with several local bands, played musicals for local and regional theater groups, and was the house band leader for the Williamsburg Dinner Theater for 4 years. I love music and I love working with students of all ages. I studied piano from the age of 4, played euphonium in school band, sang in choir, and graduated from Michigan State University with honors in 2005 with a degree in music education. My teaching has taken me from inner-city Chicago, to Bay City, to South Lyon MI. I am looking to spend more time teaching one-on-one, as I feel that creates the most positive experiences for student and teacher. Read More
