Our music lesson students will have the opportunity to take lessons from the comfort of their own home or in one of the teachers studios. Careful attention is placed on each student to ensure a custom lesson plan. In my methods of teaching I typically like to focus on what the students want to get better at while also incorporating fundamentals and good habits. I feel that this gives the student the ability to choose what they want to do as well as my chance to show them the right way to learn it and create good habits while playing the instruments. Usually older students I try to focus more on fundamentals and I play through method books like Rochuts or for more advanced students maybe the Bitsch book. Read More

I've been teaching since 2012, ranging from beginners all the way to highly advanced levels, with focus either on jazz or classical music. I've worked as a freelance musician in a multitude of genres all over the world, and taught both privately and at several universities. Throughout my professional studies, I have participated in national international festivals, including the Prague Summer Nights Festival and Miami Music Festival. I have performed in masterclasses for professional trombonists such as Timothy Higgins, Joe Alessi, Sean Reusch, Colin Wise, Ken Wolff, and Ross Holcombe. For beginning students, it is absolutely essential to learn the basics. As each student grows and has fully grasped a better understanding of the fundamentals, the I begin to introduce solo repertoire appropriate for their first recital performance. For adults, I try to find out what the student is interested in, and guide my instruction accordingly to keep the lessons engaging and fun, no matter their ability level. For stringed instruments, I uses the Suzuki method for teaching the basic repertory of the instruments. This method is an ear training method in which the student plays by ear. It starts out very simple so students of all ages can learn and progress very quickly.
