Careful attention is placed on each student to ensure a custom lesson plan. I like beginning students to work out of the method recommended by their band teacher, until they are ready to start playing from Rubanks elementary method for trombone. From there students can progress to the advanced method, and work from Arbans method and Rochuts melodious etudes. Students interested in orchestral playing can start with Blazhevichs Clef Studies. Before joining the navy music program I taught band at a private school in New Jersey called the Netherlands Reformed Christian School. Also taught at a store "Music Den" in Roxbury Twp., NJ from 1998 to 2002 for four years. While in the navy as a musician I taught private lessons to students interested in playing a brass instrument.
