I have been teaching students younger than me since I was in the 8th grade. I began professionally teaching when I began college in 2015. Currently, I teach students from schools involved in TMEA and ATSSB. My students have had success in All Region auditions, Area auditions, and solo and ensemble. For students who are new to playing; I focus first on the mechanics of playing,getting their mind to respond to what the body to best of their ability. After that I received a bachelors degree in Jazz Studies from the University of North Texas and then a masters degree in trumpet performance from the University of Texas at Arlington. I keep a busy schedule as a freelance musician and perform regularly with the Dallas Jazz Orchestra. I also do the occasional the tour with different groups. I've collected daily exercises and warm ups passed on to me from Principle Trombonists from various symphonies and orchestras, PhD's in Trombone Performance from The University of North Texas as well as professional trombonists from Broadway shows such as Wicked as well as The Count Basie Orchestra and Dizzy Gillespie's All-Star Big Band.
