I have been teaching the guitar on and off since 1993. I have given guitar lessons to beginner students from the age of 7-70. I have assisted my students in learning beginner guitar, and then eventually some more advanced training. I teach on the acoustic, or the electric (or both). I have been playing music almost my entire life. I started in the elementary school band playing the Clarinet. I started on the guitar freshman year of high school. During high school, I took private lessons, and my high school had a guitar class. I have been a motivated practicing guitar player since age 14. Along the way, I have learned many different styles and techniques. I can teach you at your location. I will bring the guitar, stand, and everything else needed. I can teach theory, specific songs, chords, tabulature, improvisation, etc.

My method starts from the very beginning. Initially, I teach a few basic chords and strumming patterns. Most of my students have become fluent in playing most common chords. Etc. I can teach you your favorite song, or I can teach you theory. I personally know over 300 rock songs. During the first lesson, I will start off at the very beginning with some basic chords. I teach G/C/D during the first lesson. Second lesson will include Amin/Emin/Dmin. I teach a rock strumming pattern and I have a way of making this fun, and teaching you how to write your own chord progressions.
