Nothing is more rewarding than seeing one of my students develop a passion for music! Therefore, it's important that each student progresses at his or her own pace. I joined school band playing drums at age 9. I started my private lessons with my mentor at age 11. I was in hight school concert, marching, and jazz bands. I won awards in jazz band. I began my music teaching journey back in 2012 after attending the University of Colorado Denver. I was pursuing a music degree and at the time I believed touring would be my main source of income. After I had my first guitar student my life path suddenly changed and I realized my passion for teaching. For beginner students who are children, I typically start with theSuzuki Book 1 or Hal Leonard's Essential Elements depending on the students wants/needs. Throughout the lessonsI will coverbasictheory such as chords, scales, and other guitar/piano/drums/bass fundamentals neccesary to grow.For adults, I like to do a thorough interview to get a feel for what it is they want out guitar/bass/piano/drum lessons and from that develop a lesson plan based on the lessons i was taught by my music teacher in college.
