I started teaching since high school marching band when I became the clarinet section leader. I taught marching fundamentals, and would rehearse the music with my section. Since the latter half of my undergrad in college, I would run clarinet sectionals for wind ensembles and symphony orchestras. My teaching experience dates back to when I was an undergraduate.  I began giving private lessons to younger college and high school students.  Since then I have consistently taught students privatly either at my studio, at their home, or at a school. I have a great breadth and depth of experience with instrumental music education. Clarinet has been my primary performance instrument, but I have found over the years that the techniques that I use to teach clarinet are easily and successfully transferable to the other instruments that I teach. Besides the clarinet, I also teach saxophone, guitar, violin and piano throughout the Colorado Springs area.
