I use the Suzuki Method throughout my teaching process. I think it is a great bases for teaching the techniques necessary to master the violin/viola. I also use various scale books (according to level) to teach note reading, sight reading, and basic music theory. I want the teaching environment to be a safe, creative space where mistakes are allowed! I believe the best way to learn is from mistakes. I want to make sure my students know that it's okay to not be perfect.
