Repertoire from the Suzuki books are fundamental stepping stones into becoming a better musician. Each person is different. Because of this, I always make sure each student is going at their own pace. At the beginning of the year, I sit down with each student and we set goals for our playing. I want students to feel motivated and inspired always, and to practice because they love it- not because they feel forced. I have competitions within the studios to motivate practicing, and talk about what we can do at home to make the violin/viola more fun. Read More
