For beginning students who are ages 8-13 will first use the Standard of Excellence red book and then they will transfer to the blue book. Intermediate and Advance will use the Foundations for superior performance book. We will start to pick solos that they are able to play and work on them. For Advanced we will also use the selected studies book and the Arban book in our studies. Solos will be picked based on their ability and skill level. Read More

I've been lucky enough to perform all over the U.S. and a lot of Europe by touring with different bands in high school, college, and independent touring groups. I've been teaching private lessons off and on for about 5 years now. It's been a goal of mine to learn as many instruments as possible throughout my life and focus on the instruments I love. My experience as a formal teacher began just over a year ago, when I took on a beginning student who had never played the instrument before. I have also been a tutor and mentor to my peers since my high school days when I was a section leader in our symphonic and jazz bands. and captain of the marching band.
