Instruments: Drums, Bass Guitar

I have been studying drums for well over 17 years! I love playing, learning, and teaching drums. It's all I ever think about. I began studying Jazz drumming throughout high school, and have performed, toured, and recorded with many bands since. I have become locally acclaimed with my affiliation for local Utah music festivals such as Desert Rocks Music Festival, Powellpalooza, Uncle Uncanny's Summer Sessions, and Psych Lake City. In 2012 I toured heavily all over North America and Europe including Turkey and Greece with a Psychedellic rock band called Radio Moscow. Read More

Instruments: Cello, Bass Guitar, Double Bass

With the cello and double bass, I use the Suzuki books, along with my own system I've developed. On the bass guitar, I start by focusing on songs that student is already familiar with, and then expand from there. I have all of my students identify songs that they would like to learn on their own, while studying other pieces of music at the same time. I want my students to know how to both read music, and "play by ear." I teach them to really use their ears, to know if they're playing in tune, and if their rhythm and tempo are correct. Read More

Instruments: Guitar, Bass Guitar, Electric Guitar, Acoustic Guitar

My methods revolve wholly and completely around my students wants and needs. Generally for beginner students I will start by going over the basics, a small amount of essential music theory, how to read tabs and chord diagrams, and the different components and notes on a guitar or bass, before moving onto the fun part Ive found students tend to want to practice and play more when they are learning songs they love the most. I approach teaching like nursing a baby ,u care for the baby,u feed the baby when hungry,u cover the babies body from catching cold , you teach the baby how to eat ,u hug the baby when he or she start crying, when she wants to go put her hand in the fire u stop her and tell her in advance what she’s going to experience.when she’s 18 you start to tell her to set goals and always drive hard to achieve them ,you tell her to never give up and be distracted by boys, you’d tell to always keep learning in life because the day you stop learning you start dying. Select all the days/times the student would be available to start lessons. Selecting "3pm - 7pm" means the student can start as early as 3pm or start as late as 7pm. It is important that you select as many days and the widest window of start times for each day as possible. That will help us make a match with one of our teachers.
