I was a teacher in the public schools, and I wanted to be able to give more one-on-one attention to students. I wanted to be able to teach in a way that uplifts students and makes them excited about music. I also wanted to be able to make students feel comfortable and have fun. I have a degree from Vandercook College of Music in Music Education. I allow them to bring in world music from other cultures or pop music and arrange and adapt it to their levels. My teaching experience started back in High School. I was in a music class and every month I would get to teach kids how to play the ukulele. In college, I started teaching private music lessons and worked at a local music shop and I would teach people how to play songs before purchasing an instrument.
