I love kids and music and decided to combine the two. Piano lessons from fourth grade through high school furthered my love for instruments. I played flute and piccolo through high school and then graduated with my Bachelors of Instrumental Music Education from Troy in 2005. I have been involved in music my entire life, starting in a percussion group and choir in elementary school. I started on the clarinet at the beginning of middle school. I taught myself how to play the clarinet amongst the other instruments I play with the help and guidance of college professors, band directors, and tricks I noticed along the way. We learn at different paces. For me to see someone accomplish a goal is a reward in itself and they should be proud as well they even accomplished something that is so major. I set realistic goals for my students each lesson and from there we add another goal to add to the last goal.
