BA, California State University Long Beach, Music
I've been playing the clarinet for over 20 plus years from middle school through college. I've performed in various concert bands, jazz bands, pep bands and chamber groups while in school. In addition to the clarinet, I can also play the saxophone as well. Groups that I played for includes the Palos Verdes Symphonic Band. I studied the clarinet at El Camino College and was a student of James E. Mack prinicple clarinetist from the Carson Dominguez Hills Symphony and also Studied Clarinet at California State University Long Beach under woodwind specialist Joe Stone from the Long Beach Symphony.
I am new to teaching private on the clarinet. My methods of teaching is to make the lessons as fun. I encourage my students to get actively involved with joing group and stuff and put together a recital to show off their talents. If the students is havining fun, then I am havining fun at the lessons.
I start new students with the Essentails elements book. Once the students has progresses, I would introduce students to solo repertoire. For adults and advanced students, I'll find out what their interest in and cater the lessons to what they want to accomplish.
Teaching style is what the student wants to accomplish. I feel its important for the student to learn at his or her own pace and i would set realistic goals for each student as I believe the every student is unique.
Select all the days/times the student would be available to start lessons. Selecting "3pm - 7pm" means the student can start as early as 3pm or start as late as 7pm. It is important that you select as many days and the widest window of start times for each day as possible. That will help us make a match with one of our teachers.Ok
Are you sure that's your only availability? The more availability you easier it will be to arrange a teacher for you.
