I've been teaching music lessons since 2009 and I've had excellent results with my students. I specialize in working with students 5 years old and up of all skill levels. I've helped hundreds of students to pursue their musical interests. I've been working with students one-on-one in various music schools as well as at students' homes or at my studio. I found it equally gratifying to work with advanced or beginner pianists. I have students who want to play just for fun and students who wish excel with the Royal exams and prepare for the recitals or auditions. My students frequently participate at competitions and festivals at major NYC venues. I also organize Student's Piano Recitals twice a year.

My typical process for working with a student includes teaching music fundamentals: Hand Position, Scales (various types), proper basic technique (playing with correct posture, wrist motions, arm relaxation). From the first lesson I develop skills in music theory and train in playing with a steady beat and an accurate rhythm. I teach the absolute beginners, not just how to play the piano, but teach them how to read notes, rhythmic notation, chords, sound technique and understand music for yourself. For the youngest students I usually stick with Piano Book series by Bastien/Alfred/Faber/Hal Leonard and choose supplemental recital songs that suit to student level and abilities. Over the course of studies students will play a few contrasting pieces in different musical styles, I also encourage students to select any songs that they prefer to play.
