I have been learning piano for more than twenty years and flute about ten years. I teach individual lesson privately or at a music center; I also teach group lesson at schools or some welfare organisations. Among my students. there are students from less than 3 years old to more than 30 years old. I love teaching both adults and kids. I can always have a deeper conversation while teaching adult ; but teaching children is also so much fun because they are excited in learning new things in music!
No matter how old is the student or how many experiences that they have, one thing I am emphasizing in the lesson is enhancing their interest and motivation in playing the piano. It is because I can offer them the method of practice, musical knowledge, but ultimately it is their decision to practice or devote in music or not. I hope I can do my best to teach piano by giving them fun exercises, interesting listening examples or demonstrations, and different musical knowledge, in order to let them fall in love with music. Thus, learning, practicing or even performing piano will be the most enjoyable thing for them!
I have teaching experiences in piano, flute and accompaniment more than six years. Having a graduate degree in music composition, my objective is teach music with creativity and diverse cultural materials to enhance students interests, initiatives and passions in music; establish goals for students according to their abilities. I love to teach piano comprehensively, meaning not only teaching them piano skills, but giving them knowledge about the composer, composition background and history. It is because I believe these knowledge will actually help the student to interpret the music in the way that it should be.
