Recorded bass on several Indie Artists like Liquid Eclipse(Christian rock band from 1990's), Surreal, Omega Force, Terese Maynard, Amy Heart, and more. I played live with several worship teams and ministries over the last 25 years. I have 2 solo albums out of my own called Mo Jones Bass and My Bass And Me.
I have passion for music and love to teach music anyone willing to give it a try. Bass is my prime instrument and I can teach guitar up to the intermediate level. I have written my own lessons plans for both instruments and have found these methods successful.
I have been teaching for the last 25 years. I used to own a music store for 3 years and developed a lot of different curriculum that I have found successful for both guitar and bass students. Bass I can teach all levels: tap, slap, funk grooves, it doesn't matter.
bass guitar will start out with left hand right hand techniques to make sure that those are fundamental to the correct. then after that we will move on to major minor scales. and then typically we will move into sight reading and learning the mechanics of how to stay in the pocket and groove. With guitar we will work mostly out of a kids book teaching the simple C chord G chord g7 chord and d7 chord playing songs like skip to my Lou
each student is different when we get going, but I personally try to instill the passion to learn music within each student. This helps for practice this helps for learning in this helps when trying to continue on with music later in life.
