I began my keyboard studies at the age of seven and am a talented pianist. During my junior high school years I accompanied the school choir via the piano. In addition, I have played keyboard at local restaurants in Ventura and Oxnard, Calif. I have taught keyboard for twenty years part-time. I teach beginning piano lessons from my home . The ages I teach are ages seven to eighty. I try to motivate my stedents while they are learning and frequent practice is stressed. Equally, it's vital that my students are enjoying their lessons.

For my beginning classical music students, I require four inexpensive keyboard books for learning and skills. I use the John Thompson series for basic learning. A notespeller by Alfred is used for theory. In addition, I use two other study books. The Alfred Technic book is aimed at measurably increasing a student's skill at the keyboard. I also use a recital book for extracurricular study. As my piano students progress with their lessons, they graduate into more difficult levels of these needed books.
