My first exposure to the guitar came from both my Grandmother and Uncle listening to them play on the Classical guitar and the four string guitar when I was about 12 years old. During High School I discovered some recordings my grandmother had purchased of Chet Atkins playing Classical guitar piece and Larindo Almeida playing a standard Jazz tune. After graduating High School I began learning the guitar on my own. Years later I enrolled in the East Harlem School of Music (Johnny Colon) attending weekly guitar classes and studying Classical guitar privately with Leo Rivera. Years later I enrolled in a Classical guitar program at Julliard. I currently perform with 3 bands playing a variety of genres including Jazz, Gospel, contemporary and R&B music and also produce a Time Warner CTV progra, which features guest vocalist and musicians from the New York City area.
