Overview:
I am a High pace Energetic Teacher that loves to work with his students. All of my life music was my passion, and there is nothing I love more in this world that sharing my passion with other people. I am Currently Going to West Chester University for a Degree in Music Education. Ive played in the Philadelphia Classical Guitar Competition as a Finalist. I played in and was apart of a 2 time State Champion marching band while in High-school. I have a high Performance standard, and really try to push my students to be the best players they can all be.
EXPERIENCE
My teaching Experience goes back to High school. When I was in High school Our Marching Band had section Leaders. I was the front ensemble section leader. This meant I taught the Front ensemble the show music, Run sectionals to Clean the music, and in 2017 took the highest winning award in the cavalcade of bands history. My guitar Lesson History started in My senior year of high school. I have been teaching Privately for close to 2 years now. Im young but full of energy, and new age Ideas; with lots of new Music.
METHODS USED
For Beginner students I would start with the Frederick Noad Classical Guitar book. This book is a great book to hold interest in the Students. This Book teaches Basics, but gets right down and dirty in to learning music. The Music in the book starts with simple Melody for the student, with some advanced part underneith to give the allusion to a young beginning student they are achieving greatly. This tactic helps harness the musical drive in a student. A more advanced student, I would start with establishing their level of musical Knowledge, and ability. I would look for Music that would help improve any flaws in their current ability, and go from there.
LESSON STYLE
Music Is an art, Just like painting is an art, and Photography is an art. I have a passion for music stronger than most. I can talk for hours Just debating a musical concept. Now there is the word debate. Music as an art has many questions to be asked, and some of the best ways to learn music is by question answer. I when teaching music ask a lot of Questions to my student. I challenge their knowledge. When working on new music; I might ask how does this music make you feel. What does the musical line or chords consist of Whats the key? How do the chords relate back to the key, and try to deepen the knowledge of the piece.
