Overview:

I am a pianist, composer, and theorist of both Classical Music and Jazz. My compositions have been performed all over the world by Wynton Marsalis and the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra, The American Composers Orchestra, The Sydney Contemporary Orchestra, and The North Czech Philharmonic. I graduated from Berklee College of Music, and Florida State University (Doctorate in Composition and Music Theory)

EXPERIENCE

I have been teach for more that two decades students of all ages and levels. Primarily, I teach Piano, but I am also an expert in Composition, Theory, Orchestration, Arranging, and Electronic Music. I can teach in both English and Spanish.

METHODS USED

I create my own costum lesson plans and materials to best serve the needs of each individual student

LESSON STYLE

I am a very flexible, yet demanding instructor. I love seeing my students progress and move on with their artistic goals. I see each student as a unique idividual with specific needs, strenghts, and weaknesess. I give them what they need to move on to the next level, and help them consistently; but at the same time, I expect students to do their homework.
