I am a dedicated and patient educator with a passion for helping students further or begin their musical journey. I work side by side with every individual, tailoring my lesson plan to each persons needs. I love to inspire my students through teaching a well rounded musical course of study. from the years of 2006 - 2009 I attended Xaverian High School where I was involved with every musical group the school had to offer along with an extra curricular group called ISO (Inter School Orchestra). Through these outlets I was afforded the opportunity to perform at Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, Symphony Space among many other great venues. In those years I had traveled throughout the country as well as overseas performing and studying music. From 2009 - 2014 I attended Both Five Towns College and CUNY Brooklyn College Music Conservatories learning from amazing instructors such as Saleem Washintion and Arturo O'Farrill, playing alongside the ALJO and teaching a few students of my own. Due to personal reasons I decided not to continue studying on a collegiate level however my love and passion for creating and teaching music grew tremendously without the pressures of academic success. I look forward to expanding potential pupils understanding of sound and frequency through their chosen instrument!
For as long as I can remember music had come easily to me. I would utilize my abilities in helping my peers get a better grasp of the music we were playing in school. I had my first official student in college where I taught Saxophone to a friend who was interested in learning. I have been teaching pupils and peers alike on and off for the passed 9 years. I believe with the proper time, patience and practice anyone can grasp an understanding of music. With consistency in these areas learning an instrument or perfecting ones existing knowledge there of is exponentially greater and much easier to handle when put into perspective. All in all the goal is to inspire someone to find their sound and want to continue growing and learning through music with little to no emphasis of failure. there is more than one way to discover music one just has to be open to the possibility!
For beginning students I always start by asking what they hope to gain or what attracts them to music. Having an understanding of an individuals needs is the first step. From there I follow with fundamentals using Rubank Elementary Method on their respective instrument. for someone who already has an understanding of their musical goals I accommodate my lesson plans based on their current state along with adding exercises that will help ease any difficulties they may be having. It is my goal to meet the students where the currently are on their journey of musicianship and help them get where they want to be!
I always begin the first lesson with a short discussion, asking each student what the hope to gain from taking lessons. every person learns differently and it is extremely important to acknowledge the needs of the student before even opening a book. From there I work with the individual to help diminish all doubts about learning and build a confidence in their potential to find and create their sound in whichever direction they choose to take their musicianship. I solely want to inspire through the learning process creating an atmosphere where anyone can grow in music without judgement or ridicule but through sheer encouragement!

Select all the days/times the student would be available to start lessons. Selecting "3pm - 7pm" means the student can start as early as 3pm or start as late as 7pm. It is important that you select as many days and the widest window of start times for each day as possible. That will help us make a match with one of our teachers.
