2012 Drum Fight IX Winner ( Judged by Mike Portnoy, Billy Rymer, And Kenny Schwartz) Trap Symphony Drummer for Audiomack (Played For Migos And A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie) Drummer For A Nationally Shown Moet Champagne Commercial (Shown At The Golden Globes)

Overview:
I have been professionally playing drums for almost 15 years and teaching professionally for 10. I have toured the country opening up for major label bands and artists. I have played drums for numerous bands and artists including Grammy winning and nominated artists for Audiomack's Trap Symphony. I have also played drums for a nationally aired commercial for Champagne. I currently teach a number of students from ages 7-25, and I teach all levels from beginner to advanced. For the older students I love to help get them into bands and open jams so they can experience playing live in front of a crowd and with other musicians. I love teaching and playing all styles of music from Jazz, Metal, Rock, Latin, Rap, Reggae, etc. When I'm not teaching I am traveling with various bands around the country and playing on major music festivals. You can expect to improve your drumming skills each lesson you take and also learn your favorite songs from your favorite bands.
EXPERIENCE
I started playing drums over 15 years ago and having been teaching professionally for 10 years. I started teaching at age 13 for The Town Of Babylon Summer Music Program. After several years of teaching there I moved on to teaching full time privately with students ranging from ages 7 - 35. I have helped my students obtain high scores on NYSSMA, as well as grow as musicians and help them to form bands and play live in front of audiences. I have worked for School Of Rock and have assisted in teaching special needs kids and adults at FREE, which has become nationally recognized as having the first special needs drum line. I have loved teaching since the day I started. It is a very rewarding experience and i make sure that all of my students have fun by having them choose songs to learn from their favorite bands and artists.
METHODS USED
For beginning students I start them on practice pads so they can get used to holding and playing with drum sticks. From there I teach the fundamentals of drumming, which are rudiments and reading while also teaching them easier songs on the drum set that they love. I can guarantee that within their first two lessons they will be able to play "We Will Rock You" by Queen and also play a basic beat on the drum set. For older and more experienced students I teach them more of what they want to learn whether it's their favorite songs or nailing a band audition. My personal belief is that everyone can be great drummer, so as a teacher I make sure to teach accordingly to the specific students needs and ways.
LESSON STYLE
I want to make learning the drums as much fun to the student as possible. If they aren't having fun then I am not doing my job as a teacher. Every students has different inspirations and different passions in music so I make sure to make my lessons specific to each student. Some students want to learn their favorite songs, while others want to learn a specific genre of music. I am here to help teach and guide them to their goals and aspirations. Overall I will teach the fundamentals such as reading and rudiments, as well as playing to music.
