Overview:
Hello! I love teaching music and have been doing it for over 7 years!  I am originally from Helena, MT and have lived in MA for the last 8 years. I graduated from Berklee College Of Music in Boston in 2009 with a piano performance degree. I've spent almost my entire life taking piano lessons or teaching them and I still truly love it. My lessons very fun, relaxed, but focused and explore all types of music!
EXPERIENCE
I started teaching music when I was in High School (I'm 26 now) back in Montana with just one student.  Quickly this student told his buddies at school and soon I had 8 students in my studio!  When I moved to Boston to attend Berklee College of Music I focused on my studies and didn't teach but I resumed in 2009 upon graduating and haven't stopped since.  I take a great joy in helping students learn about what I'm so passionate about.  In my lessons we start with some quick warm ups then dive into pieces ranging from Alfreds and Suzuki Method to Beatles, Beyonce, Bach and more.  I love all styles of music and one of my main goals is to show my students as many as I can.  I hope it inspires them to keep practicing and stay focused so that they too can experience the wide variety of music out there.
METHODS USED
My instruction is fun, focused and my students learn a lot of valuable information right off the bat.  We work towards building up a repertoire of songs they can actually play from memory.  We focus on being able to sight read no matter where the student is at the time.  I use a variety of music books, flash cards, original songs, and more!
LESSON STYLE
Each week I expect my students to practice when they can and we talk about how much is expected of each one based on their level and available time each week.  I am most certainly relaxed and fun during lessons but I want them to get as much out of the time we have together as possible.

Select all the days/times the student would be available to start lessons. Selecting "3pm - 7pm" means the student can start as early as 3pm or start as late as 7pm. It is important that you select as many days and the widest window of start times for each day as possible. That will help us make a match with one of our teachers.
