With 25 years of teaching experience in piano and guitar, I have successfully instructed students of all ages and diverse musical interests, spanning classical to rock genres. For beginning students who are children, I typically start with Faber Piano Adventures. Once the student has progressed to have a grasp of the fundamentals, I will begin to introduce solo repertoire. For adults, I start with the Faber Adult Series as well as find out what the student is interested in, and guide my instruction accordingly to keep the lessons engaging and fun, no matter their ability level. My teaching philosophy is to focus on listening first, which helps students learn to read music more effectively.
