Overview:
I have been in the music business and teaching guitar for over ten years. I am equally qualified to teach children, adults and everyone in between! With over ten years of experience working in youth music programs I have learned a variety of games and fun activities that are particularly effective in engaging young learners. My main goal with children is to get them hooked on music so they'll turn it into a life long pursuit.
I am a warm, sincere person and I enjoy developing a relationship with each one of my students. I am very patient yet I expect nothing less than excellence of myself and my students.
EXPERIENCE
To all of my students I bring the experience of performing in hundreds of venues around the world in diverse musical settings ranging from rock to jazz to classical. I bring the same passion to my lessons as I do to my stage performances. I have released several studio albums, composed music for film and television, and produced tracks for local LA bands.You will benefit from my studies with some of the world's greatest guitarists while I earned my music degree at New School University in NYC. I am still continuing my education though private studies and master classes. I believe it is my obligation to my students further my own musical development.
METHODS USED
I don't teach any two students in the same way. I have an extensive music education library that I use to design my lessons. All of your worksheets and materials will be provided. I teach musical fundamentals by working on the songs and music that YOU love.
LESSON STYLE
We will start by creating a list of songs/pieces that you would love to learn how to play. I will design lesson plans that are specially prepared to help you achieve your musical goals. Lessons are totally laid back and you progress at your own pace.
