I am a professional bass player who serves as a performer, educator and recording artist. I have worked with national acts as well as with my current indie/internationally recognized band, B Street Blues ®. My style is reflective of too many influences to name, but I love the blues, jazz, gospel, and grew up playing classic rock and metal during the 80’s. I attended U.Mass Lowell in the early 90’s and it was then that I cut my teeth with jazz and classical studies. Thereafter I completed a performance program at Berklee College of Music. Thanks to this, I have great ears and the ability to share what I have learned over the years.
I've been teaching and playing electric bass and other instruments for over 20 years.
Methods can be a good tool for new students. As most of my students have had experience of some kind, I take the time to craft and customize lessons to the student's specific needs for optimal growth and satisfaction.
The lesson is its own reward. My style is developed to ensure the student learns to move their hands in the most efficient playing style possible while obtaining maximum tonality, cleanliness, and timbre.
