I'm 26 years old and live in the Ozone Park neighborhood of Queens, NY. I love teaching music and am looking forward to teaching in the NY Tri-state area.
I've been playing drums for 16 years, guitar for 12 years and piano for 8 years. I've performed concert tours of China and Portugal and I've performed as a featured soloist at Carnegie Hall.
I'm proficient on all percussion instruments and am also proficient on guitar and piano. My main pedagogical approaches are rooted in music theory, history and using examples in contemporary music to teach students and keep them interested.
I use a lot of different method books and audio/video tools to teach but I also relate all lessons to music that the student is interested in. My education is rooted in classical percussion techniques but drum set is my main instrument, so I'm able to adap those techniques for drum set.
