I am a passionate and dedicated person with 10+ years of experience as a part time piano teacher. Teaching piano to others is one of my hobbies. Music has been a part of my life from a very early age. I started learning to play piano when I was 6. From my musical experience, I have strong skills in teaching basic as well as advanced piano lesson to all age students. I went to UC Berkeley for college and minor in music in 2016. Currently, I am pursuing teaching credential program in Music at SJSU for my further studies.
My teaching experience begins from my college time til now. I personally love to play modern and classical music. Keep practicing and listening to different style of music is my focus to my students. Regular practice, like playing 30 to 45 minutes everyday, can lead to huge progress of learning piano. I will encourage intermediate to advanced students to the level that they want to achieve in playing piano. I will keep encouraging my students to play songs they love and so from there they will have motivation of practicing piano by themselves daily.
I like to inspire people to learn playing piano by my step by step teaching style. I teach beginner students simple and fundamental music pieces to let them learn the basic keys and how to read the music sheet. I like to instruct students from diverse experiences the piano, and how to use the instrument as a means of self expression and stimulate their music talent. I will recommend "Alfred's Basic Piano Library Lesson, Theory" and "Basics of Keyboard Theory" as well as "Piano Adventures Level 1 to 2" for piano beginners.
I will organize a manageable number of tasks for duration of each lesson to my students. Then, I will determine the progress of the students by assigning them with appropriate tasks to practice plus music theory. It is more rewarding when seeing my students grow and love what they are learning. My teaching style is to teach them by their character and learning pace. By tailoring what my students' ability to learn music skills, I am more prone to teach what they can achieve in their every lesson.
Select all the days/times the student would be available to start lessons. Selecting "3pm - 7pm" means the student can start as early as 3pm or start as late as 7pm. It is important that you select as many days and the widest window of start times for each day as possible. That will help us make a match with one of our teachers.Ok
