I will show my students long tone exercises to develop their sound, scales and arpeggios to develop their technique, sight-reading sheet music, and much more. I encourage my students to explore the genres that fascinate them. I like to teach to the interests and ability levels of my students. I believe in keeping lessons light and fun, while maintaining a strong emphasis on guiding my students toward becoming musically literate. A typical lesson for a younger student may include board games and coloring pages in addition to traditional "on instrument" time. I am a performer, composer, and educator who loves inspiring and cultivating a passion for music in my students. I received my Bachelor of Music degree in Saxophone Performance from Cal State Fullerton in 2017, and moved out to CT to pursue my Master's degree at the Hartt School and study with Carrie Koffman.
