I try to be sensitive to the needs of the student not just his/her musical needs but his/her academic needs as my ability to continue working with the student depends upon his/her academic success. I will suggest a basic routine at home: Housework, Practice, Study, Leisure, Bedtime. Students are all different and have different strengths and weaknesses. Its very important for musicians to be honest with themselves about their struggles in music.
