I have a Master of Music in Saxophone performance from East Carolina University and a Bachelor of Music Education from The Ohio State University. I find the best route with private lessons is start with student see where they are in the process and move forward with a pace that best suited them considering certain factors. Those factors include age, skill level, dexterity, body characteristics, and amount of time already spent with instrument.
