Our music lesson students will have the opportunity to take lessons from the comfort of their own home or in one of the teachers studios. Careful attention is placed on each student to ensure a custom lesson plan. Our music teachers understand that every student has different needs and abilities and therefore the lessons will be planned with that knowledge in mind.
lessons are available in the following areas:
Instruments: Piano
I am a piano instructor that loves sharing my musical knowledge with students and watching them progress. I just recently graduated from the University of Alabama in early May with a Bachelor of Music Degree in Piano Performance. I have been studying piano for almost twelve years. During my time as an undergraduate, I performed in recitals, taught private lessons to students, and accompanied for vocalists and instrumentalists. I also served as the president and treasurer of the Music Teachers National Association chapter at the University of Alabama. Read More
Instruments: Piano, Violin
For beginning students, I usually start with Piano Adventures curriculum, starting with just the lesson book. Around level two we will add the theory book and if the student shows an eagerness for more songs, the performance book as well. Around level four I will also add the technique and artistry book. Along the way, if a student requests a certain song or brings their own music book, we will also learn those songs. Read More

My teaching style includes positive reinforcement, making and achieving small measurable goals that lead to big measurable goals, and teaching and instilling correct daily practice methods. I encourage each student to do their best each day and push through the difficult places. When something is too difficult for a student, I break it down into smaller, more understandable pieces, or change tactics to a different subject or piece. I use many resources and try to differentiate activities to keep students engaged and learning. Read More

I believe in individualized learning. So each student will receive their own plan for their progression. Some materials I recommend for students are the rubank book for beginner. It is very important for students to grasp the fundamentals. For intermediate students, we would progress on a track and focus on what they had for goals. For advanced students we could use anything from method books to cds to ear training and transposition to bring out the best in the learner. Read More

I learned to read music in high school band as an auxiliary percussionist (playing bells, xylophone, and various percussion instruments) as well as singing in the choir. I have done professional studio work since 2013 with many different artists in plenty of genres including rock, country, hip hop, and jazz. Read More
