I am a very big proponent of adaptable teaching, specifically adjusting to the students, wants, needs and goals. I love teaching students what THEY want to learn, and applying my knowledge of music theory and instrument theory in a fun and applicable way to their interests, thereby making music theory less of a snore and chore, while also getting the students excited for more. I love highlighting students excellence and seeing the joy of finally nailing something they've practiced, but even more so I love working through aspects that are particularly challenging for a student, as the reward is even greater after doing so. However, after 2 years of tutoring, I was accepted into law school in New York, which was outside the geographic scope of the tutoring company I worked for. Around the same time as beginning my tenure as a tutor, I auditioned for my very first professional band (Vesper), and was selected, among 6 interested guitarists, to proceed as their newest member.
