My name is Riclebio S. I am a music teacher and a cello performer with an extensive experience in classical and praising worship music. Back in Brazil I attended the Federal University of Paraiba where I got my undergraduate degree with concentration in Music Education and Cello Performance. In 2016 I was awarded a scholarship from the Nicholls State University and studied cello and chamber music. My passion for music comes from childhood, learning the first chords on the guitar with my father. From then on, I began to study classical guitar in conjunction with a repertoire of Brazilian and Latin music. Later I deepened my studies on the 7-string nylon guitar and also on the semi-acoustic guitar, especially in the language of jazz and blues. I’ve performed solo and ensemble recitals in several states across the US. I’ve also studied personally with Celino and Lito Romero members of the elite classical guitar quartet “The Romeros”. I’ve performed masterclasses for The Romeros as well as other massive names in the Classical Guitar world such as: Martha Masters, Matthew Denman & Matt Palmer. I first began teaching at the age of sixteen. I was hired to work at Berkshire Summer Music, a music camp for talented young children. I worked as a violin and viola instructor, teaching children of all ages, assisting with their technique and helped develop good practicing habits. For beginning students who wish to learn how to read music, I typically start with the Berklee Method Phase 1 book by William Leavitt. This book is great and gets you playing in no time while learning the fundamentals of music. For adults or more advanced students, I want to help guide the student in their interests. The student's level of technical ability will be assessed and exercises to improve technique will be stressed as well as learning scales, chords, and songs helping the student to increase their ability and repertoire.
