Perhaps they only want to learn a particular piece that they are playing for Solo and Ensemble Contest. Once the student gets in track, I start introducing more advanced book such Rubank, J.H Luft, H.Klose and Feerling. For adults and more advanced students, most likely I develop a custom guide and protocol based on what their focus of interest is.
