I come up with new methods to fit with each student whether it is a young child who doesn't read yet that needs new methods to learn their music letters or a special needs student who needs to get up from the piano every five minutes and walk before continuing. My teaching experience started 5 years ago. I was a senior in high school and was teaching a beginning student the trombone. Throughout the past 5 years I have continued to teach students when I was able to. I encourage regular practice and maintaining a consistent schedule. I always say 10 minutes a day is better then 30 minutes every 3 days. For younger students a combination or aural learning and written learning are great ways to help them engage and keep an interest. Read More
