Our music lesson students will have the opportunity to take lessons from the comfort of their own home or in one of the teachers studios. Careful attention is placed on each student to ensure a custom lesson plan. In 2012, I graduated from Emporia State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Arranging and Composition. Performing all over the world has been one of the greater experiences of my life as a musician, and I've had the opportunity to perform with kansas city jazz greats. I love teaching music and am very excited to have the chance to teach new students in the Tulsa area. I grew up in Broken Arrow where I was a member of the Pride playing flute and piccolo. I also was in the Tulsa Youth Symphony and All State Orchestra. I am very happy to be back in the Tulsa area. I have a Bachelor of Music degree from Oklahoma State University, Master of Music degree from University of Minnesota, and a Master of Science degree in Music Education from Syracuse University. My teaching experience started 5 years ago. I was a senior in high school and was teaching a beginning student the trombone. Throughout the past 5 years I have continued to teach students when I was able to. I encourage regular practice and maintaining a consistent schedule. I always say 10 minutes a day is better then 30 minutes every 3 days. For younger students a combination or aural learning and written learning are great ways to help them engage and keep an interest. Read More
