Through ear training, creativity, and learning "how" music works, the goal is to get each student to not need a teacher to learn their instrument, but want a teacher so they may become their best version of it. When working with new flute students, my focus is on a solid sound, technique, hand/body position, and learning to read and play music. To help learn to read the notes, I use Hal Leonards Essentials Elements Series. Once the student has learned to read music and has learned all of the notes, I begin using Taffanel and Gauberts 17 Daily Exercises to build the students technique and knowledge of scales, arpeggios, etc. Read More

Additionally, Natalie has experiences in composing for drama; she was the music director and composer of “Hang out with HEART” in 2016, which was a drama organized by Hong Kong Children & Youth Services. Natalie is also active in participating in music festivals.
