In college I began teaching drumlines over the summer for various high school programs. During that time is when I really began to fall in love with the teaching process and watching my students improve and grow as musicians. I started playing professionally in 10th grade. My first gig was a theatre gig, which was the musical, Anything Goes. During high school I picked up more theatre gigs, including annual church pageants. I marched two years in Drum Corps International with the Kiwanis Kavaliers while I was beginning my degree in Music Education. During my time in school I taught three drum lines and brought several successful percussion ensembles to contest. Read More
