Our music lesson students will have the opportunity to take lessons from the comfort of their own home or in one of the teachers studios. Careful attention is placed on each student to ensure a custom lesson plan. Our music teachers understand that every student has different needs and abilities and therefore the lessons will be planned with that knowledge in mind.

For beginning students, I usually work with Hal Leonard's essential elements as well as use the piano as a tool for them to hear the pitches they are playing. Once the fundamentals are grasped we can work on introductory solo repertoire. For children I'd like to make this a bit more fun as well, introducing some easy tunes they will be familiar with or excited to play. (for example, Jason Derulo's song "Trumpets") For adults, I think its best to find out what their interests are and we can target what to work on from there. Read More

I began teaching private lessons 9 years ago, working with all ages and all levels. I am always aiming for the best balance between fun, discipline, technique and freedom. I believe in teaching discipline, responsibility and dedication through the art of music! I use the NYS Common Core in Music to teach. My students are more likely to excel in all of their studies, have enhanced critical thinking skills and will have a higher level of focus discipline than students not studying music the arts. Beyond my extensive experience as a professional in the Music Industry, I have held positions in a diverse range of teaching situations beyond private instruction. I was most recently employed as a Lead Music Teacher for Success Academy Charter Schools and worked full-time at an Elementary School in the South Bronx. In this position, I was responsible for creating and implementing a rigorous K-4 curriculum and delivering it to 500+ students each week, as well as leading a daily reading Roots Reading group and conducting weekly reading assessments.
